My name is Emily Laidler and I am the founder and owner of Empowered Mathematics, LLC. After getting a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Tampa, I started a tutoring business with the goal of changing the way that students feel about math. I aim to empower students and show them that they have the ability to understand how numbers and equations make sense. I have 5+ years of math tutoring experience.

I tutor math from kindergarten through Calculus I. By guiding students through problem-solving strategies, they gain a deep understanding of each step in the process and begin to solve problems without any help.

Test Prep
I offer test prep sessions for the SAT, ACT, and GRE. During these sessions, students work through various practice problems that resemble questions on the test. I also teach students test-taking strategies to improve their scores.

Summer Enrichment
Get ready for the upcoming school year with summer enrichment. These sessions include a review of math from the previous school year and an introduction to math concepts that will be taught in the upcoming school year.

For people who use math in their career or who are looking to improve their math cognition, math skills sessions are the perfect option. These sessions are tailored towards adults of all ages and skill levels.

Giving Back
5% of Empowered Mathematics' profits are donated to charity. A different organization is selected each month and causes range from environmental conservation, human rights, animal rights, education, disaster relief, and more. The charity for December 2021 is the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
